As we begin a new year, we’re excited to share everything that’s happened during the first quarter of 2025 at SAI-A&G Sanctuary in Venezuela. Thanks to your continued support, we’ve been able to care for over 90 rescued dogs while also celebrating some truly hopeful moments.

A Season of Happy Tails

One of the most uplifting parts of this quarter has been the surge in adoptions. Over the past few months, more families have opened their homes to our dogs, giving them a chance to start fresh with a family of their own.

We’re deeply committed to making sure each adoption is the right fit, so we carefully conduct background checks and home visits before a dog leaves the sanctuary. Seeing our dogs thrive with their new families fills us with joy. It’s a reminder that the work we do, and the support you give, truly changes lives.

Max’s Journey to a New Life

We were especially excited this quarter to see Max, one of our longtime residents, find his forever home. When he first arrived at SAI-A&G Sanctuary, Max was in rough shape extremely malnurished with parasites, but with time, care, and lots of love, he recovered beautifully.

He was adopted by a wonderful family from Guacara, a city near our sanctuary. They were immediately drawn to his gentle personality, and it was clear they were the perfect match. A few days later, we received smiling photos of Max, looking happy and healthy in his new home. It’s stories like his that keep us going.

Food Distribution (January to March 2025)

From January through March, we distributed 5,445.7 pounds of food to care for over 90 dogs currently living at SAI-A&G Sanctuary. Regular, high-quality nutrition is one of the most essential parts of their recovery and well-being, especially for those who arrived underweight or malnourished.

We Need Your Help

Although we’ve had some beautiful wins this quarter, we’re also going through one of the toughest moments we’ve faced. Our main donor, who provided nearly 90% of our funding, is no longer able to support us, and this has created a serious strain on our resources.

Right now, we are fully focused on providing the best possible care to the dogs currently at SAI-A&G Sanctuary, but we’ve had to temporarily pause new rescues. This isn’t a permanent change. It’s a necessary step until we can stabilize our funding and ensure we can continue offering the quality care every dog deserves.

We’re doing everything we can to move forward, but we can’t do it alone. Your donations, no matter the size, help us feed, treat, and protect the dogs who depend on us. Together, we can make sure SAI-A&G Sanctuary stays a safe place for dogs in need and eventually open our doors again to rescue more lives.

Thank you for being with us.
