South American Initiative Feeding Orphans Amid The Venezuelan Crisis
South American Initiative is currently addressing the political crisis in Venezuela by stepping up its efforts to feed the starving children and adults at Maria Auxiliadora Orphanage in Valencia, Venezuela. Donations in the form of food, water, money, and more are highly appreciated and needed to sustain this effort. Currently, the children at Maria Auxiliadora Orphanage are in need of our help, and we at SAI are doing everything we can to help deliver all the help our donations and volunteers can muster. We plan on sustaining weekly meals, where we feed 1000-2000 people at a time.
Some of the children at this orphanage don’t have real beds to sleep on. They’ve taken in more children than they can handle and shelter is a real, and growing, problem. While the government is in turmoil these children get less attention than they deserve. Our current goal for these orphans is to raise 150,000$ US dollars, but this goal can easily be reached with our collective help.
The current crisis hits Venezuela amid a political storm, inflation, loss of governmental revenue, and more leaving the less fortunate and poor in a fight for their lives everyday to find food. Due to massive inflation, your US, Canadian, or Australian dollars or British pounds can feed many people with massive positive leverage. We enlist volunteers in Valencia, Venezuela to buy, cook, and distribute our donations to those who need it. South American Initiative is a not for profit organization.
